I started playing organized ultimate frisbee my freshman year of college. I decided to join Cornell's program because I was introduced to the sport in high school gym class, and I really enjoyed the experience! I played for Thorny Roses my freshman year, and have been on the Wild Roses since my sophomore year. I decided to attend Cornell for its engineering program and all of the research opportunities and project teams associated with it, its beautiful campus, and the food. (Themed dinners on the West Campus are the best!) I love Cornell because there is always something to do on campus. Cornell does a great job of bringing musicians and speakers to perform for us, and there's always something fun to do on the weekend, whether its a free movie showing or a festival on the Arts Quad. My favorite part about being on the Roses is the long car rides and the random situations we often find ourselves in. Some of my favorite car ride memories include chasing a cat around an empty gas station around midnight, finding a really nice cafe in the middle of nowhere with Yael and Hannah, and taking a twelve-hour car ride with the Shake my freshman year.
