What do you do outside of frisbee?
I've been a TA for the Intro to Policy Analysis class at Cornell for 3 years. I also volunteer tutor in downtown Ithaca in my free time. Outside of frisbee, I enjoy playing tennis and ping pong.
What is your favorite roses memory?
My favorite moment was the game against #1 seed UConn during Regionals my first year on the Roses. We were down by a lot but the tides started to change when Rachael sprinted and caught an amazing layout score in the endzone. Everyone was immediately fired up. It was an inspiring play that started to change people's minds and made us think we could turn the game around. After that point, our intensity amplified and we started catching up and eventually won on universe. I was so overjoyed and excited that I was jumping up and down.
Any other fun/weird fact(s), likes, dislikes:
I have a sister who is 11 months younger than I am, so right now we're the same age. :)
How did you get your nickname?
I was playing a point at a tournament my freshman year when two upperclassmen on Thorny (Carl and Emily) started calling me "JTrain" from the sideline. I guess I look like a train when I run? Or maybe it's an NYC thing? There was really no apparent reason, but it was catchy and it stuck.
What's your favorite tournament food?
Hummus and pretzels! Also the Gatorade powder (brought by Michaela) and pub mix are always a delight.
What are your favorite pizza toppings?
All kinds of veggies: green peppers, spinach, broccoli, olives, onions, tomatoes. The more the merrier.
