I started playing ultimate in 2012. I got a flyer to go tryout for the frisbee team at UCD, and I thought "nah." Then my best friend was like, "we should tryout!" And I was like, "really?" And she was like, "yea, I miss being on a team. How are we going to make other friends?" And I was like, "yea, we're pretty bad at making other friends. But I don't like running." And she was like, "well I need to stay in shape somehow." And I was like, "fine, let's go to the info meeting." And then we stood across the street from the info meeting for 10 minutes deciding whether or not to go. Then we went because they took out the free donuts. One of the best decisions of my life. This is my 5th year playing ultimate and my first year playing on the Wild Roses. I was looking for a graduate program that had a good landscape architecture program and also had an ultimate frisbee team. Because ultimate is life. The reason I decided to go straight from undergrad to grad school was almost entirely to play another year of ultimate. I love playing with the Roses, and my favorite part is probably just constantly being around amazing people that are fun and amazing and affectionate! My favorite thing about Cornell is that IT SNOWS HERE.
